Description
Blue Ridge is owned and operated by Greg Collins, FAA Gold Seal Master Flight Instructor and A&P Mechanic with Inspection Authorization. Blue Ridge offers aircraft rental, Stearman Biplane rides, training for Sport, Private, Instrument, and Commercial Certificates, as well as tailwheel endorsements. Training is available in both accelerated programs, and standard formats. Blue Ridge is not the typical cookie cutter flight school with time building flight instructors. Greg has given over 8000 hours of flight instruction. Training is provided in a 1946 Aeronca Champ, and a Cessna 172M. Both aircraft are equipped with the latest GPS technology and Bose noise cancelling headsets. Blue Ridge works off of a semi-private grass airport in Hendersonville, North Carolina, yet is only 5 minutes by air to the busy Class C airspace of Asheville Regional, the best of both worlds.
