MyTownIsHere.com is a directory of local businesses for towns in Tennessee.

It is run by Tully Services, Inc. (a Wyoming corporation).

What the site does

People use it to find local businesses and to leave a review scored from 1 to 10. A business owner can claim a listing and update it from a dashboard.

A $9 a month upgrade is planned and is not for sale yet. When it is, Stripe will take the payment.

Information we collect

Listings. A listing can include the business name, category, town, address, phone, website, hours, and a short description.

Those facts come from public place data and from the business's own website. An owner who claims the listing can correct them.

Accounts. When you sign in, we store your name, email, and profile photo, plus a session, in Cloudflare D1. Google sign-in is not switched on yet.

When it is, Google will handle the sign-in step. Until then, the account tools stay in preview.

Photos. Photos an owner uploads are stored in Cloudflare R2.

Maps. A business page can embed a Google map. The frame loads after you allow marketing cookies, or after you press Show map on that page. Google may set cookies when the frame loads. See the Cookie Policy.

Reviews and messages. If you review a business or message it, we store what you wrote, the score, and the account you used.

Where to eat. If you join the weekly "Where to eat" list, we store your email in the database table eat_signups. We do not send that email yet.

When mail starts, newsletters go through Brevo, and one-to-one messages (a new review, a new message, a claim update) go through Amazon SES.

Calculators. If you choose to send a calculator lead, we store your email, business name, ticket, and visits in the database table calculator_leads.

Advertise. If you ask to reserve a paid listing, we store the business name, your name, email, phone, town, category, the tier you asked for, and whether you asked for yearly or monthly.

That form does not charge a card. We do not send an email from it yet.

We do not ask for a Social Security number. We do not take card numbers today.

Cookies

We use a few first-party cookies so an account stays signed in and so the site can remember your cookie choice.

If you allow Analytics, Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics. That sets _ga and _ga_* cookies. Necessary Only does not load it. The list is on the Cookie Policy.

The consent tool is iQ Cookie. It is the banner at the bottom of the page.

Who processes it

Cloudflare hosts the site (Cloudflare Pages), holds the database (Cloudflare D1), and stores photos (Cloudflare R2).
Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics only after you allow Analytics. Google's privacy policy applies. Google sign-in is not switched on yet.
Amazon SES and Brevo will send email later. The new site does not send email yet.
Stripe will bill the $9 monthly upgrade later. It is not connected yet.

We do not sell or share it

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for advertising on other sites.

The companies above get only what they need to host the site, store what you submit, or, later, sign you in, send mail, or take a payment.

Access and deletion

If the law in your state lets you see or delete personal information we hold about you, email [email protected].

Tell us the email you used on the site and what you want. We will handle the request as that law requires.

Children

The directory is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

When this policy changes, we post the new version on this page and change the date at the top.
